We visited The Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum in Sadiyat Island to get a dose of art and culture, and were instantly blown away by the beauty and design of this place.

Louvre Abu Dhabi is the Arab world’s first universal museum, and also a testament to the UAE’s ambition and accomplishments.

Showcasing a global selection of masterpieces from different civilizations past to present, we greatly enjoyed walking around the Museum’s galleries and exhibitions. The displays get updated regularly so there is always something new to see.

They even have a dedicated Children’s Museum that is really interesting and fun! My kids loved the interactive touchscreen displays and exploring the climbing frames!

My favorite was the Museum’s futuristic silvery dome, it looks like it’s floating on top, when in fact it weighs around 7500 tons, believe it or not!

This architectural centerpiece was inspired by the palm trees of Abu Dhabi; the way they filter sunlight through their leaves, projecting patterns on the ground.

The dome’s complex geometric structure is amade up of 7,850 ‘stars’ that filter light through its tiny holes or perforations, creating an enchanting display called the ‘rain of light’. 🌴✨🌴✨

Absolutely stunning, the iconic Louvre Abu Dhabi is a place I highly recommend you visit

next time you are in Abu Dhabi. I know I will.
