It’s kinda hard not to notice the Burj Khalifa, THE most iconic building in Dubai’s incredible skyline. It’s one of first places I visited when I moved to Dubai. Located in Downtown Dubai, next to the Dubai Mall and Dubai Fountain. It holds the record as the tallest building in the world at a staggering 828 meters!

You can’t say you’ve been to Dubai and not seen the Burj. And I promise you the breathtaking views from the observation deck at the top is well worth it!

Tickets usually get booked quickly, so I definitely recommend booking your tickets online in advance. You can also buy advance tickets in-person at the ticket counter.

Always be ready to queue! At least you can watch the interactive multimedia displays that give additional information about this skyscraper.

So exactly how high can you go?
The Burj Khalifa has two observation decks. The lower deck is called ‘At the Top’ and stands at a height of 452 meters and a new deck called “At the Top SKY’ at a height of 555 meters. I think this is where they give you a personalized tour, plus a refreshment drink at SKY lounge. Sounds great doesn’t it?

Actually the very top of the Burj Khalifa is on the 163rd floor but that isn’t open to the public.

Apparently there are three levels you can visit: L148, L125 and L124. Honestly I cannot remember which one we chose 🙈, what I do remember is the thrill of zooming up the world's fastest double-deck elevators at 10 miles per second! When you arrive at the observation deck, you can finally take in all the impressive views of the Dubai skyline.

I liked that they provided telescopes so you can take an even closer look. I think the next time I visit I will for sure head to level 148, which gives you access to the outdoor terrace. I even heard they have integrated some kind of virtual reality experience too, can’t wait!

Recently a new restaurant and lounge @atmosphere has opened on level 122 of the Burj, which is next on my bucket list so stay tuned!!😉🍽🍷
