I have a love-hate relationship with sunscreen. I know I must absolutely apply it living in sunny Dubai, but I actually dread the heavy sensation of it on my skin. And if you’ve been following my Dubai blog, you can tell I spend a lot of time outdoors and at the beach or pool! That’s why it’s so important for me to find a really good sunscreen that doesn’t feel sticky or break me out. Now let me tell you I have tried loads until I found my perfect match. And it was a Dermalogica sunscreen.
Dermalogica Oil Free Matte SPF30 is a broad spectrum sunscreen. What does broad-spectrum actually mean?

So there are two types of ultraviolet UV light that can harm your skin — UVA aging rays which give you wrinkles and age spots, and UVB burning rays which, you guessed it, burn your skin. A broad-spectrum sunscreen means that it protects you from both these types of UV light that can damage your skin. Over exposure to UVA or UVB rays can harm your skin, and even cause skin cancer. The SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor; a measure of how well the sunscreen protects you from UVB rays. Always go for a sunscreen that offers broad spectrum protection with a high SPF of at least 30.
Another reason I love Dermalogica Oil Free Matte SPF30 is because the formula actually prevents greasiness and absorbs excess oil on breakout-prone skin! I adore the texture of this sunscreen because it feels really light, doesn’t leave any white residue, and contains a great blend of Zinc Gluconate, Caffeine, Niacinamide, Biotin and Yeast Extract.
How do you use it? Apply a teaspoon amount generously to your face, about 15 minutes before you head outside. Then add your makeup on top if you need to. Sometimes I mix it with my moisturiser or foundation. It’s not labeled as waterproof so I usually reapply another layer every two hours after swimming or exercise and I never burn.
Try it and see if it works for you. I get mine from @dermalogicame or @lookfantasticarabia
